About this mod

This ReShade-Mod improves readability of Warcraft 3 Reforged Units Environments and Buildings. It does not play with fancy contrasts or other overtuned settings. Goal is to make the game look more balanced and comfortable to read for human eyes. Works in Multiplayer, too. Works with every map, but has been adjustet to Twisted Meadows-Terraintype.

1. What is Adrians Clear Visuals for Warcraft 3 Reforged?

This Reshade mod has been created to deal with problematic brightness and colors in Warcraft 3 Reforged in competetive gameplay. It creates a flatter and brighter image with individual adjusted colortones, so it is easier to spot what is going on and to identidy units and heroes faster during a battle in WC3 Reforged Multiplayer.

It is not a fancy mod that introduced flashy colors or extrem contrasts - which would have the opposite effect in my opinion. Primary goal is to increase readability of all units, environments and buildings during day and nighttime without chopping the characteristics of the day/night circle. Since it is impossible to adress with this tool each terraintype indiviually, i had to create one shader, that works for all. Most noticeable are changes on the terraintype of Twisted Meadows /Echo Isles / Gnollwood etc. Hope you like it and enjoy playing with it.

2. Requirements

All Settings are configured "ready to go" once you put them in the destinated directory. It will work only with DirectX11 - if your computer has a very old GPU without DX11 support, it might not work. Mod created with ReShade 5.8.0

- tested on Windows 10 64bit Home Edition
- should work on Windows 7 and 8 aswell
- you need a latest Version ReShade installed. It is free. Get it at https://reshade.me/

3. Content

This mod is created with multiple Shaders such as: Daodan, qUINT, PD80, masterFX, SweetFX (included in the zipfile)

Thanks to the creators of those Shaders and ReShade itself. It would not be possible without their effort to create this mod.

To remove Reshade simply delete all created files again. No WC3 original files will be altered or deleted.

5. Running the mod

The mod should from now on already be enabled. You should be able to turn it off and on with "End" on your keyboard. To get into the Reshade menue, use "Pos 1 or Home". You can change those hotkeys anytime in the ReShade Overlay Settings.

6. Disclaimer

ReShade simply manipulates already rendered content with new filters called Shaders - very simelar as Nvidias Geforce Experience Art Filters. However, there are some advanced techniques available, that access the deepth buffer in 3D-Games and can make obscured objects visible (not invisible units such as Blademsters) . For that reason Reshade 5.8.0 disables that specific feature set automatically whenever you are playing online  to prevent you from getting banned or attempting to cheat. ReShade should be safe to use - however i did not programm this tool and only created this mod with it.  So use ReShade and this mod at your own risk.
