I always liked the idea of making a sustainable way of life in NMS, however there is at the moment no way to collect dihydrogen in massive quantities without destroying the blue crystals, hence this mod. Now you can : _sublimate the dihydrogen of the cactus flesh, naturally filled with water since it is a cactus _obtain the sodium of the solar vine through an electrolysis _deoxygenate the star bulb to take its oxygen Since there are flowers that gives us sodium and oxygen I guess there wasn't really a need for them but I find it more pleasant to be able to grow them all.
I also allowed ferrite recycling through the following process : _2 ferrite dust gives 1 pure ferrite _2 pure ferrite gives 1 magnetised ferrite _1 magnetised ferrite gives 4 ferrite dust As Lavoisier said, "nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed" ;)
Tested with current game version, it should be compatible with anything that does not edit : Files Changed
In order to use it you just have to put the "Sustainability.pak" file in the folder MODS in *\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS". Create the folder if there isn't one already. Also, delete or rename "DISABLEMODS.TXT" into "ENABLEMODS.TXT". You will find this file in PCBANKS.
If you need to merge mods I made a quick tuto here that explains how to do it ! You can also use the .lua provided, thanks to TheLich for the kind introduction to the lua world :)
Have fun :)
