This mod is still somewhat of a WIP. I've tested all the events and triggers, but a 100% full test playthrough is still in progress. There may be bugs and probably a ton of typos! I am also waiting on the SVE for a proper compatibility patch so I am currently using PaintedParrot's to make sure everything works correctly. Please report any bugs or typos you encounter in the comments or forums! Thank you! - Jello
Hi everyone! Jello here! I'm a small time narrative designer and writer. This mod was originally created as a personal project when I got back into playing the game after recalling the experience I had back when RomRas was first released a few years ago. Despite the amazing work by everyone involved, I wanted to add a bit more to my personal experience and expand the scope of content after marriage. Things massively expanded from there. I eventually got talked into releasing this for the wider public after a lot of internal debate, but due to the original nature of this project there are a few things to take note of to see if this mod is for you.
RRRR was originally a personal project. Please check inside the spoiler box to see if this mod is for you:
Spoiler:
Show
- This was originally written with a female farmer in mind. As such many events are designed around it, the most obvious being pregnancy and birth. Any future children npcs packs I decided to release will be done so with the assumption that they are biological children. I plan to eventually release alternate adoption events if there is enough demand, but the best experience is with a female character. There is nothing stopping you from switching to female, having children, and then switching back to male. This may slightly break some dialogue in some places, though. Nothing major. This doesn't mean that you can't play a male character, however. Please let me know if I missed adjusting some lines somewhere.
- I've massively expanded the magic lore and historical events which may or may not be accurate to SVE canon. I've also added a lot more context-specific lines for SVE characters such as Camilla which may or may not be in character. I will likely adjust them if something from SVE directly contradicts with what I've written.
- There is an ideal play timeline. The mod is paced in a manner that works better if engaged at the proper speed. Please check the hidden love interest and recommended experience for more details, but generally, the ideal experience means completing the community centre (or joja) by early winter, and the ginger island volcano dungeon around the end of winter year 1 or spring year 2.
- The mod assumes you will treat the Wizard nicely. Some things won't really make sense if you treat him poorly, but that dialogue does exist. I may add more, but I generally don't enjoy writing or testing that content. Please don't expect too much.
- I use a custom massively expanded portrait set, and customized sprites so portrait/sprite mods will not work without work. I am open to having other mod creators adapt their portrait sets for this mod but you will have to ask them. I doubt you would want mismatching portraits so I suggest using Gigi's portrait mods that I used as a base here. I went to the effort to try to add some of the missing portraits that she hasn't gotten around to, but some new characters still need art (Lance, Martin etc). If you want to attempt to adapt the sprite and portrait yourself, please check the article section for a guide. A lot of dialogue is written with the assumption that the wizard at least looks somewhat similar to the one in my banner. If you would like more information about this than provided in the compatibility section and the guide, please contact me.
- Some assumptions will be made about the farmer's personality. The farmer is written to be an empathetic, confident, tenacious, inquisitive, if slightly impulsive person who generally wants the best for people, is very interested in magic, and isn't afraid to fight potentially thousands of monsters. This largely fits with the canon depiction in game and SVE.
- The Wizard retains his RomRas personality, but he does grow as time passes. He is still very socially awkward, has a lot of self-esteem and self-worth issues, lacking in self awareness, and kind of very bad at being a functional human in general but he improves over time through finding stability in life. One major difference is that RRRR's Magnus is far more stoic with his expressions at first, and far more playful once he completely opens up.
- Expect long, lengthy events and dialogue. This is just personal preference. I like my dialogue extensive and insightful. If you don't, this isn't the mod for you. I generally do not suggest skipping any events because it may mess up event progression or you may be confused by references you haven't seen.
- There is a lot of sappy dialogue. He gets increasingly good at throwing excessive complements to the farmer. You've been warned.
- There is a lot of suggestive dialogue. This largely falls in line with what you'd expect from the original mod (him asking you to join him in bed) and some parts of SVE, eg. Lance's 10 heart event (implied things). It is more or less stated outright that the farmer and Magnus have a very healthy intimate life after marriage no matter what. It would be extremely difficult to remove this content, thus it is what it is. An additional config option has been added to toggle heavily suggestive content. It's nothing explicit, but I would suggest not playing this in public either way.
- There is some heavy dialogue. It doesn't get too dark, but some darker topics and events are mentioned occasionally. Most of it is reflective and about past events, but I don't want to paint an image that everything is always 1000% rosy. The relationship between the farmer and Magnus is generally very supportive and healthy so no warning there.
- You will have to arrange your house in a certain way for a few events. Please check the included image guide. I may try to work out a better solution, but right now it's hardcoded.
- Gendered dialogue is based off farmer gender. I decided to avoid the gender config setting from Parrot's edition for the sake of keeping the content file as tidy as possible and to reduce clutter. This should help reduce load times, but if there is enough demand, I may add it back. As such, I've made male-character specific lines avoid mentioning gender to allow for more flexibility, but I may have missed a line or two. If you spot them, please leave a comment or something similar!

Everything from the original Romanceable Rasmodius SVE mod- Compatible with SVE 1.14.22
- Marriage schedule reflects SVE schedule.
- Further festival appearances and dialogue.
- 12 Heart events, from 1 heart all the way to 14.
New features in RRRR:
- New hidden love interest mechanic (Please check below)
- Over 1000+ lines of new context-based dialogue (Pre and post marriage, pregnancy, year based, etc)
- Wizard beach sprite and adjusted normal sprite (original by Chaekal and Rizumu)
- 20 expressions portrait set (with 12 additional beach portraits. Based off Gigi's portraits.)
- Additional expressions for other characters (Caroline and Pierre. Based off Gigi's portraits.)
- New adjusted baby sprites (original by lakoria)
- Additional SVE context dialogue for specific events
- Very slight SVE schedule adjustments to account for RomRas personality.
- Movie reactions (dating, married, married 4 year +)
- Quest dialogue edits to account for relationship
- Extensive Villager marriage reaction dialogue (Similar to please remember my wedding)
- More comprehensive festival and special event dialogue (Welwick's predictions, summit etc)
- Over 20 adjusted SVE events and vanilla events.
- Over 40 new custom events, pre and post marriage, some repeating and branching.
You must commit if you decide to attempt hidden love interest mode. Toggling it off before finishing it or toggling it on in the middle will break the mechanic. There is nothing I can do about this due to the way stardew works.
RRRR features a new pseudo mechanic called "Hidden Love Interest Mode". It is designed to somewhat mimic hidden love interests found in Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons entries that have additional unlock requirements, but without the actual hassle of ridiculous tasks like throwing 100 cucumbers into a lake and downsides of a barely-present spouse. Like other hidden love interests, having this mode active hides the Wizard's eligibility as a bachelor until the correct conditions are met, which means
he will no longer appear to have the "single" tag beside his name or accept a bouquet until conditions are met.Since it takes at least a full year cycle (spring to winter) to complete said conditions, a new "Unofficial Dating" relationship status has been added that triggers following the 9 heart confession event. While "unofficially dating" the Wizard, events and dialogue will reflect that change in relationship, making for a roughly comparable experience to normally dating in the game, but paced and supplemented with additional events and a lot of dialogue to keep the year interesting.
The aim is to add more weight on the relationship and better show Magnus' hesitation as a result of the trauma from his prior relationships when approaching something new with the Farmer while also addressing the lore added by SVE in regards to the Ministry of Magic.
Requirement for unlocking the Wizard as a true love interest:

Unlock the Nexus and Warp hexes in SVE
If you're not sure what that requires, here is the full requirement to unlock the above:Spoiler:
Show
- Complete the Community Centre/Joja equivalent
- Have the galaxy sword
- Meet Alesia
- Complete the Ginger Island volcano dungeon
My personal experience playing through the game has me completing all of these tasks by the end of Year 1 Winter, but I generally approach things very aggressively. If you do not play in a similar way, I suggest potentially turning Hidden Love Interest Mode Off and just jumping straight into normally dating and marrying him.
* THIS MAY CAUSE BUGS, BUT NOTHING MAJOR AS LONG AS THE FIRST YEAR IS PLAYED THROUGH AS EXPECTED.
This is no way set in stone, but it is the "ideal intended experience." I may adjust it depending on feedback. There is not very much non-marriage content in Y2, so be prepared for a bit of a content drought if you end up pushing into Y2. A lot of the marriage content is also written under the assumption that you get married very early in Y2, but outside of that there should be no big issues dragging the timeline out a bit more. If you are just here to experience the content of the mod and don't really care about doing things the old fashioned way, you can circumvent the mad rush for resources by downloading an
item spawner.

Tips:- Actively begin mining through the year and collecting resources for house upgrade, ginger island boat repairs, and tool upgrades while collecting quartz for an easy gift option. Ideally, get void essence for faster heart progression.
- Get as deep enough in the mine to fight ghosts. They drop solar essence which is a loved gift
- Fishing is a great source of money if you fish off the shearwater bridge for puppyfish and butterfish.
- Getting fishing up to at least level 5 makes it possible to fish up frogs after 6pm on rainy days which are a liked gift. Higher quality items give more points.
- Alternatively, buy the frog legs recipe from Marlon, upgrade house to tier 2 for kitchen and gift frog legs as a loved gift.
- Make field snacks for energy. You should have plenty of tree seeds from gathering wood. If that's not possible, try buying salads for 220g each at the saloon.
- Upgrade the axe to at least steel first so you can start collecting hardwood logs asap. Respawning stumps in the secret woods only nets you 2 hardwood each stump, so it takes a while to build up without abusing slimes for mahogany seeds.
- Kill all the dust sprites you see. They have a chance to drop coffee beans which you can plant and turn into coffee for a speed boost.
- Always dig mountain artifact tiles. There is a chance to get dino eggs and ancient seeds. Ancient seeds in particular are an end goal crop. You can sometimes get these when fishing as well.
- Always check the travelling trader on Fridays for red cabbage seeds or red cabbage. There is no other ways to get it in year 1 outside of a lucky drop.
Timeline:- Meet Magnus as soon as possible. Usually it's around day 6/7 of Y1 spring.
- Reach 4 hearts by flower dance --> Successfully dance with Magnus. Should be possible if you give him at least liked gifts and see 0 heart to 3 heart events while talking to him every day (rebalanced from original mod). I've done some tests and it's entirely possible to get him to 4 hearts by the 21st of spring, assuming you get fishing up quick enough to catch at least gold quality frogs/ mine deep enough for solar or void essence/ give him frog legs dish.
- Reach 9 hearts some time mid-summer --> Should be easy with flower dance boost and gifts + correct event answers. The friendship from later events are very generous.
- Accept his confession and start unofficially dating
- Set birthday some time in late summer to see birthday event --> You can always adjust this on the fly if you missed the timing. or opt to move it later in the year in general)
- Complete community centre/Joja in early winter --> Should be fairly doable if actively working on it through the year.
- Complete Ginger Island Volcano dungeon after Winter 18th --> This is so you can see "The Truth" event. Requires you to go to the night market with Magnus as he suggests and select the dialogue option when given one.
- Unlock Magnus as an official love interest and officially begin dating him. ---> I suggest doing this ASAP
- Have a rain totem or wait for rain in spring Y2 to buy mermaid pendant.
- Marry him in before mid-summer Y2.
- Upgrade house to least tier 3 for nursery by summer Y2.
- Have child 1 by Fall Y2. Have child 2 by mid Y3.
- Grats! You did it! Now just play as leisurely as you like!
Please read through the config options before playing the mod. Some of these are important for making sure you format your experience correctly/to your liking. A shorter version of each description is viewable from the Generic Mod Menu in game, but they're explained in more detail here:
Spoiler:
Show
- Hidden Love Interest Mode:The intended experience. Makes marrying the Wizard impossible until conditions are met. Please reference the mod page for details. Adds additional events and in-world context to events. Important: TOGGLING THIS IN THE MIDDLE OF A PLAYTHROUGH MAY CAUSE BUGS AND PREVENT SOME EVENTS FROM TRIGGERING.
- Override Generic Dialogue: Overrides generic universal dialogue. Please disable this if you aren't planning to date the Wizard.
- Sprite: Please leave this on default if you would like to use the included sprite that matches the portrait. If you have a custom Wizard sprite you would like to use, change this to custom.
- Use Beach Sprites: Turning this off makes it so the beach sprite is never called. If you are using a custom sprite set that does not have a beach sprite and you have no desire to make a beach sprite, please toggle this off or the game will call an error.
- Wizard Babies:Turn this on if you would like the included wizard baby sprites. Only really makes sense for biological children. For adopted children, I would suggest turning this off.
- Wizard Age Appearance: Changes some dialogue that refers to the Wizard's appearance. He will still be very old, this is just about the surface appearance.
- Earring Colour: Changes the colour of Magnus' eventual earring gift in the event. Please pick which suit you better. To actually wear them in game, please install the Fashion sense pack and use the hand mirror. They are in the accessory slot and have a sparkle animation. Pick between gold and purple.
- Baby Skin Colour: Changes the skin colour of children in events. Only used for events so the correct sprite is called. The rest is handled automatically by the game. Only applies to biological children events currently. Only change this if you AREN'T using custom sprites.
- Birthday Season:What season the player's birthday is in. Used for events. Please do not set it on a festival day if you don't want bugs. For compatibility with the happy birthday mod, please read the compatibility section.
- Birthday Day: What day the player's birthday is on. Used for events. Please do not set it on a festival day if you don't want bugs. For compatibility with the happy birthday mod, please read the compatibility section.
- Wedding Season:What season wedding took place in. Used for events. Please do not set it on a festival day if you don't want bugs. I generally don't suggest getting married on the 1st of a season because it may cause some bugs.
- Wedding Day:What day the wedding took place on. Used for events. Please do not set it on a festival day if you don't want bugs. I generally don't suggest getting married on the 1st of a season because it may cause some bugs.
- Date Ask Percent Chance:Only used for post-marriage dates. Configure the chance Magnus will ask you to go on a date upon leaving the farmhouse each day after marriage. Default is 25%, but can be any percent 0-100. Set to 0 to disable the date events.
- Min Hearts Required:Only used for post-marriage dates. Change the minimum number of hearts required with Magnus for him to ask you on a date. Default is 10 hearts.
- Friendship Bonus: Only used for post-marriage dates. Change the amount of friendship received with Magnus if you go on a date with him. 'none' will disable any friendship bonuses, 'small' will increase friendship by 25 points (1/10 of a heart), 'medium' increases by 50 points (2/10 of a heart), and large increases by 100 points (4/10 of a heart).
- Dates on Festival Days: Only used for post-marriage dates. Enable/Disable being asked on a date on a festival day. Usually many areas are closed or off-limits on festival days, making it impossible for you to complete the date if asked. Enabling this will allow dates to be asked on a date with a festival, even if you won't be able to complete it. When disabled, dates will never be asked on every festival day (except the Night Market). Works on every vanilla festival and the two new Ridegside Village festivals.
- Spicier Content: Enables the most spicy of content. Nothing very explicit, but there are *a lot* of implications. Things are still suggestive when the command is off, but only to the level of existing SVE events such as Lance 10 heart.
Recommended Experience Mods
Grandpa's Farm Has an exclusive post-marriage date. Just generally a nice farm map.
Custom Kissing Mod Not compatible with the unofficial dating mechanic, but still nice to have.
Gigi's Anime Portraits (Matching portraits to the one I use. You don't have to use this if you don't mind mismatched art or have a compatiable portrait mod)
Portraiture (Required for using Gigi's portraits and the ones included in this mod, otherwise optional, but useful if you don't want to natively overwrite portraits.)
Fashion Sense (Allows for a lot more flexible outfits such as the one in my screenshots. Also makes it visually possible to wear Magnus' gift following some events in year 4.)
Outfits/ Clothing Mods I UseWitchy Rustic Looks Great if you want to dress like a witch. The hats seems to clip when kissing though.
Luo Li's FS Tops and Bottoms Pack The outfit mod I use if you need it for whatever reason.
Coii's Girl's Set Pack The hair mod I use if you need it for whatever reason.
Happy Birthday Mod: I have included a compatibility content patch. Please unzip it into your happy birthday content folder and overwrite. I only provide spouse dialogue because birthday events are already handled by RRRR.
Ridgeside Village/East Scarp/ New location mod: I have not played either of these mods, but they should work for the most part. If I do, I may eventually add more compatibility such as festival appearances, and events, etc.
Content/ location mods: RRRR should be compatible with most mods, assuming that it doesn't touch the Wizard's content and doesn't overwrite the Wizard for whatever reason. I may consider adding compatibility for other content mods that don't alter the Wizard's romance content if there is enough demand and I personally like the mod. If you do attempt to use mods that overwrite the Wizard with this one, rename the [CP]RRRR folder inside the main folder with a z at the start to force it to load RRRR last (eg. z[CP]RRRR). This will have RRRR overwrite instead. In some specific cases, there may be clipping during events if maps are changed too much from the base SVE experience. Please install a no-clip mod if this is a concern you have.
Farm Mods: All farm maps should work, but I recommend Flashshifter's grandpa's farm mod because there is an exclusive date tied to its private hotspring.
Romance Mods: Similar to content mods. As long as it doesn't overwrite/can be disabled, it should be fine. Why would you want to
install this mod if you weren't set on romancing the Wizard though???
Multiple Spouse Mods: This mod will overwrite generic dialogue if the toggle is turned on. I may eventually introduce unique courtship lines compatibility, but some lines will still be overwritten (eg, summit, welwick fortune telling etc) if the toggle is on.
HIdden Love Interest mode will not trigger if you have a spouse. This was done specifically because Magnus would definitely not agree to having an affair with anyone and it would be difficult to account for specific mods, so just toggle it off if you insist on having multiple spouses okay?
Character Mods that Overwrite the Wizard: Self explanatory, but not compatible.
Romanceable Rasmodia: I've gotten in contact with the mod creator and the mod creator has expressed that the number of portraits may be too much to create a patch for. I will update should circumstances change for whatever reason.
Custom Children Mods: Technically compatible, but may clash slightly with some in game text.
Seasonal Outfit Mods: Sometimes these mods will overwrite the wizard sprite. If they do, look through the config which may let you turn off the overwrite feature for some characters, or rename the [CP]RRRR folder inside the main folder with a z at the start to force it to load RRRR last (eg. z[CP]RRRR)
Custom Portrait/ Sprite Mods: Does not work right out of the box due to missing assets. Please contact the original creator of the packs and ask them to add compatibility.
I have a detailed article on how to adapt existing portrait and sprite mods to RRRR so please reference that for a very detailed breakdown and guide.
Portraits:I use a custom expanded portrait set and sprite set. You can take a look at the portraits here. I have numbered them for easy reference to the content of the mod:
19 Expression set with 12 alternate beach versions, plus the pink SVE for a total 32 expressions.
Most 12 expression Wizard portraits will cover the majority. I've also included the alt colour from SVE that usually isn't present in those sets so technically, it's actually something like 7 new expressions with the addition of the beach versions of the original 12.
Because I use Portraiture, there is no native overwrite for portraits. Simply do not install the Gigi portraits if you have an alternative you would like to use.
There will be strange expressions if the portrait set was not adapted before hand. (spoilers, also very long):

Installation is very straight forward, but requires slightly more work if using my default portraits.
Using Gigi's Portraits: (If using mismatched portraits, do the same thing, but make a folder in "Portraits" called RRRR and place the portraits inside).
- Make sure all required mods are installed correctly.
- Open the zip file and move the "Romanceable Rasmodius Redux Revamp" master folder as is into your "Mods" folder.
- Install Portraiture.
- Download Gigi's portraits and the optional SVE files.
- Unzip Gigi's portraits folder somewhere and take a look inside. Unzip the SVE files and put them into the same folder. Follow the instructions on Gigi's page about picking which portraits you like since she offers a lot of alternatives.
- Open the RRRR Zip file and open the "RRRR Gigi Portraits" folder
- Move all portraits into Gigi's Portrait folder and say yes to all overwrite
- Move Gigi's folder into "Portraiture\Portraits" folder
- It should now work.
- If the portrait is not correct, try pressing "p" while the textbox is open to change it in game. Sometimes it's slightly buggy or you may have made a mistake somewhere.
Using Custom Portraits (Must be expanded to be compatible or it will be buggy):
- Make sure all required mods are installed correctly.
- Open the zip file and move the "Romanceable Rasmodius Redux Revamp" master folder as is into your "Mods" folder.
- Install your portrait set according to the mod creator.
- If you are also using a custom sprite, go into the mod config in game and turn "Sprite" to "custom" (Must be expanded to be compatible or it will be a bit buggy in certain events.)
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LOOK THROUGH THE MOD CONFIGURATIONS BEFORE STARTING TO PREVENT ERRORS AND UNEXPECTED CONTENT!

In order of likeliness: - Parallel Updates with RomRas SVE - I've gotten in contact with PaintedParrot and we've more or less decided to share ideas. I may not include everything they decide to add, but it will probably be the majority.
- Locating the basic help board dialogue and changing that to account for friendship
- Baby eye colour and hair colour config (right now, the girl will default have blue eyes, and both have purple hair with an auburn strand)
- Some sort of portrait compatibility toggle
- Parallel Updates with SVE
- Better solution for in-house events
- More post-marriage dates
- More Birthday events
- Varied Anniversary events and letters
- Dynamic Portrait toggle for better custom portrait compatibility
- Adopted children compatibility for events
- Child NPC expansion
- Alternative SVE style portraits
