Mod that tries to balance the game and adds new flavours to the gameplay itself. Entire economy was rewritten, many buildings cost at least double their original price, while having their production rates increased, overall consumption of materials and energy is also increased in most cases. Aside that, many other aspects have been changed, more detailed info in ReadMe file!

Game in its original state tries to balance the gameplay towards as wide user base as possible, while I've tried to concentrate on the harder difficulities. Increased building costs means you will have to harvest more materials, but all mining mechanics have been tweaked and you won't need as many buildings as before ... alas, they will need a bit more preparation to make. When you're in the endgame and have hundreds instead of thousands of buildings, gameplay will be smoother and in the end your PC will thank you. This is another aspect that I was looking into ... at the later stages, in highest difficulties game starts to look more like a benchmark that tries to stress test your PC as much as possible, rather than being the game it was designed to be. Even with high end PCs, playing with 4k super ultrawide is something that looks nice, untill your PC tries to render thousands of buildings and monsters at the same time ... (tried this with custom settings set to max amount of waves with brutal difficulty).

Recommended custom settings for best experience (settings that the mod was tweaked for):
Damage scaler: 1000%
Wave scaler: 500%
Gravity scale: 500%
Wave difficulty: HARD/BRUTAL

There is a chance that I will add a variaton of this mod tweaked especially for default HARD/BRUTAL, but at this moment I will leave it as is.


Overall changes:
  • Increased all costs of main buildings to reflect other changes in economy and add new flavor to the gameplay
  • Increased building times by various factors
  • Doubled (or more) almost all costs of buildings from resource and energy categories, increased production rates, but increased consumption of resources and energy
  • Increased the repair range of repair towers by 100%, while adding few drones for each level (less towers, but same performance)
  • Increased the mine field range from mine towers by 30%
  • Increased max. range of energy connectors by 400%, increased their HP (any more range, and at later stage the game will freeze for few seconds while it recalculates new paths for every connector)
  • Increased range of Cryo Stations by 50%
  • Decreased min. spacing between pumps by 75%, increased costs and production rates
  • Storage and ammo production facilities cost a lot more, but also add a lot more storage space and have increased production rates
  • Increased player health by 50%, speed by 25%, pickup radius by 150% and added regeneration after 10s of not taking damage (very slight amount for those out of medkits ...)
  • Reduced cooldown times on Orbital strike and Bombardment by 50%, while slightly increasing the duration for each level. In their original state I almost never used them ...
  • Increased range of all towers by 25%, except Artillery Turret that was increased by 33%
  • Decreased min range of Heavy Artillery Turret by 75% (max range wasn't changed)
  • Increased range and health of Tesla Turret, Mobile Turret (player consumable towers)
  • Increased health of all walls including crystal

Campaign mission details weren't touched at this time, for the actual quantities to build the required buildings check the cost of the building itself.

Because of its nature, mod is not compatible with any other mods that change buildings in main, energy and resources category, also any mod that changes player stats, Tesla Mobile Tower, Mobile Drilling Tower, Mobile Defence Tower and Orbital Strike/Bombardment is also not compatible!

Installation:
