About this mod

Complete combat gameplay overhaul. Adds 16 new combo attacks for animation variety, Special Attacks with custom button inputs. Compatible with animation mods. Nothing replaced, only added.

To Take full advantage of all the added abilities, please at least install the x2 enemy health module from Peter Must Die, and play on either Spectacular or Ultimate (Ultimate is my recommendation). Otherwise things will die too fast :P

Load after any finisher or animation mods, loading an animation mod after could mess with special combos.

LIST OF MOVES AS OF 6/04/2023:


Balanced CDs = 3 seconds (fair for bosses), Reduced = 2 seconds, No CD = 0.5 seconds

HOLD left stick/movement keys toward target + tap melee repeatedly

These Work in both ground and air combat, alternate between holding stick and not holding stick to mix combo chains
(12 total new ground combo attacks, 3 new total air attacks)

KNOCK UP VARIATIONS:

Hold Melee on Ground = Knock Up

Hold Melee on ground + stick toward target = Instant Knock Up (Puts you directly into air combat).


ADDED GROUND SPECIAL COMBOS:
You MUST Preform a Combo Starter to use the Jumping Web Throw or Web Throw Knock Behind.
Slo-mo Kick and Venom Punch also function as knockbacks and disarms.

Tap Webstrike on ground near target + movement keys/stick toward target = Slo Mo Kick Combo Starter

Tap Melee + Jump on ground + movement keys/stick toward target = Venom Punch Combo Starter

Tap Webstrike on ground near target (NO DIRECTIONAL INPUT) = Jumping Web Throw (Must be used after one of the Combo Starters)

Tap Melee + Jump on Ground (NO DIRECTIONAL INPUT) = Web Throw Knock Behind (Must be used after one of the Combo Starters)

ADDED AIR ATTACKS:
First air attack preformed now disarms enemies.

Hold Melee in Air = Knockdown Flip

Hold melee + movement keys/stick toward target in air = Swing Kick

Tap Melee Quickly after Knockdown =  Air to Ground Zip (allows chaining combos)

Tap webstrike in air near target = Instant Air Knock Up

ADDED SPECIAL TARGETED AIR ATTACKS:

For the following you must have a "target" as defined by the game, (attack an enemy 1-3 times in air first for them to work)

Tap webstrike near target + movement key/stick toward target in air = Super Air Kick

Tap Dodge + movement key/stick toward target in air = Super Air Throw

A note for longtime users or anyone who cares:

This version is much different from previous.

For context the previous version was meant to be the last, but I noticed a couple bugs that I just couldn't let go for the final release.

For those of you who may have noticed, the odd camera angle when using Chidori on a boss or on the last enemy in a group, that has been fixed in this version (took a lot more work than I thought it would lol).

The other bug that has been fixed is the disarm bug. When using one of the old specials it would cause the enemy to drop their weapon and bug out. It is this particular bug that caused a complete mod rework.

Combo Starters now function as knockbacks, which now cause enemies to disarm the proper way, allowing the use of a Special on that target without causing the disarm bug.

The first air attack you do also now disarms, meaning air specials no longer cause the disarm bug!

This version has been completely reworked from the ground up. Ground Specials have been changed into Ground Special Combos. Meaning in order to preform the Special Attack, you must preform one of the combo starter moves first.

20.72 is the collimation of my work on the combat system, I hope you all enjoy!
