About this mod

Adds a reloading bench, electric hot plate, some rugs, and a working jukebox to the Lucky 38's dining room. Simple as.

2023 Update! I added a working jukebox! I turned the reloading bench around so it is oriented correctly after over a decade of being backwards! I removed empty bulletin boards! It's a bonanza!

Also, some new notes:

  • I recommend Tunable Radios if you want to be able to select from other stations while in your home doin' stuff. Makes it feel more...homey.
  • Home and Safehouse Tweaks is compatible and even recommended so long as you do the following in its config .ini under [Lucky 38]:

; Enables some optional containers and crafting stations.

This mod adds a reloading bench and electric hot plate to the Lucky 38's dining room, as well as an additional large area rug to spruce up the place. These two features were sorely lacking from the original. *Note that the electric hot plate is a DLC item and requires Dead Money to be installed.*

I recognize something functionally similar or identical to this has already been done in two dozen-or-so other Lucky 38 mods. What distinguishes this mod from some of the larger ones is its simplicity: there aren't a ton of unbalanced added features or other unnecessary editions. Besides, when you think about it, you don't really want to spend a lot of time at your player home or have half-a-million containers and 12 rooms, you just want to do what you need to do quickly then get on your way to the next quest, where the fun is at (at least, that's how I feel).

Dead Money DLC required for the hotplate.

Whatever method you choose (direct extraction, mod manager, etc.), just make sure the .esp finds its way to the Fallout New Vegas "Data" directory. Just delete the .esp to uninstall.

Thanks to Bethesda for all their work on FO3 and special thanks to Obsidian for creating the outstanding FNV which makes some of us old-school Fallout fans so happy.

Finally, if you like this mod, endorse it! It's much appreciated. Thanks and enjoy!
