About this mod
This mod randomly removes expensive items from containers and dead actors based on various factors, making the path to wealth more challenging.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
The main differences between Expensive Item Remover and similar ones are the presence of fine-tuning options, prevention of undressing, and the inclusion of management spells that allow you to retrieve the removed items later.
REQUIRED:
* OBSE v21
* LINK (if using in-game configuration)
RECOMMENDED:
* Floating Weapons Fix (Enemies keep weapons in inventory)
or
* SB Weapon Drop Fix
or similar mods that prevent enemies from dropping weapons and shields when they die.
COMPATIBILITY:
- If using with Enhanced Economy, disable its equivalent function
- If using LootMenu, the item deletion timing will be fixed to "cell change & enemy death" and cannot be used during "activate"
- Can be used in Nehrim as well. However, the additional clothing (prevent undressing) feature does not work So edit Expensive_Item_Remover_Forms.ini if it bothers you.
DETAILS:
The following actors and containers are not affected:
* Actors who are members of the PlayerFaction.
* Containers with quest items assigned to them.
* Containers owned by the player.
By changing the settings, it is possible to target actors and containers that do not respawn.
However, this increases the likelihood of issues such as the removal of quest items.
In such cases, temporarily disable the functionality or retrieve the items from storage containers that can be opened with spells.
The items that are removed include weapons, armor, accessories, soul gems, and spell stones.
Items other than these will not be removed, regardless of their value.
Additionally, quest items and items with scripts will not be removed.
The deletion probability is adjusted based on the Luck parameter.
If the adjustment exceeds 100%, it is truncated to 99%.
However, if it was already set to 100% initially, it remains unaffected.
When the deletion timing is set to "activate," equipped armor on actors is changed to non-playable attributes
instead of being removed (only while the inventory is open) to prevent unnatural undressing.
If you want to recover deleted items, you can obtain a spell to open storage containers by
setting "ini_add_container_spell" to 1 in the .ini file.
These storage containers contain the items that have been previously deleted.
By editing the Expensive_Item_Remover_Forms.ini, you can exclude specific items from being removed by the mod.
