About this mod
A Reshade for Desert Natural Realism - Redux that creates a warm, striking, stylized tone for Fallout: New Vegas that is both reminiscent of film westerns and the remarkable real-life colors of the Nevada desert, a place I've often visited and love.

This preset uses some of the latest Reshade shaders to deliver a filmic, textured, and inviting-yet-moody atmosphere to Fallout: New Vegas, designed specifically for Desert Natural Realism - Redux by EliteBane40165.
It seeks to create a striking tone that captures both bright desert highlights and its deeper shadows through a stronger use of contrast, yet without washing out detail in bright scenes or losing fidelity in darkness
It means to evoke both film westerns and the remarkable real-life colors of the Nevada desert, a place I've often visited and love with its warm yellows, splashes of red, and cool-blue, wide-open sky.
It began as an effort to simply warm up the excellent work already done with Desert Natural Realism - Redux and its own Reshade preset before becoming something more of its own via a number of effects, chief among them filmic tonemapping and Reshade's powerful color gradient effects.
Installation is simple.
1) Download the mod and place the preset file in your game directory (the same place your .exe resides in).
2) Visit reshade.me. Download the latest file.
3) Place the installation file in your FNV directory, run it, and when it asks for a preset, select the one you downloaded herein and placed earlier.
4) It should automatically install the packages you need. Done.
Note that if you want to use this preset but want the colors to be closer to Desert Natural Realism - Redux, hit the 'Home' key (the default key for Reshade's menu) and untick 'prod80 04 Color Gradient.'
Thanks to Desert Natural Weathers by clayvn (go give author kudos and endorse the mod!), Desert Natural Realism - Redux by EliteBane40165 (kudos and endorse!), Reshade, and of course Obsidian for making the best Fallout.
P.S. Since I know it is going to be asked, a lot of mods are also being used in the images you see here, including:
- New Vegas Reloaded (albeit a very stripped down preset, as I don't like how it handles most effects). Look for my preset in the Optional Files; it is a tweaked version of Qolore7s preset for his Wabbajack list The Sands. Give his author page kudos and endorse his work if you enjoy it. I will not provide support for anything related to Reloaded; however, if you see weird shadow issues outside on trees and such, open the Reloaded menu via 'Numpad .' and turn off exterior shadows. You can also try downloading a more recent build from the Reloaded Discord Server.
- Lightbright Strip Overhaul and NV Animated Zepplin.

- A handful of complimentary weather mods I recommend, such as Desert Natural Sandstorms, Cloud Upgrade NVSE and Cloud Shadows
