This Mod is a work in progress so suggestions are highly appreciated in order to make this mod as good as possible!!!





To start with this isn't really based off of anything and is just inspired by things that I thought would make a Fun and powerful weapon with Abilities. 


Useful Information :


  • The Mod has Custom Mod Options Found Under The Name Of (The Forgotten Blade) these make it easy to adjust most parts of the mod to your liking. 

  • The Forgotten Blade is found in a Custom Category Called  Ghostys  Also the icon is and should look like a  G.

  • You Can Find The Most Recent Changes/Updates Made Below In the Section Called Changelog.

The Model is from Sketchfab as I am definitely not capable of making such a thing here is the link ( black fantasy sword ) for anyone who is interested .



Not Very Important information :
All of the abilities except for the imbue Use Scripts that I made and to be honest I don't know much about C#/Scripting yet but somehow got everything to work Alright so far. So hopefully there shouldn't be to many bugs but please let me know of any.

Currently the only missing ability/feature is a laser beam which I decided to remove for now as currently it is far from ready and made the weapon quite cluttered before this is added back I will make a way to change through abilities!!! so you can change the explosion to a laser beam or whatever else would be cool and of course reasonable suggestions are highly appreciated .

I Decided to use the same explosion effect as the one from my Plasma spell mod because its nice. I just gave it some just spark particles to make it look better.

Abilities

Abilities While held :


Auto Fiery Imbue - With Custom Visual/Sound Effects - Just press the (Alternate-use/Spell-wheel Button).
Information :
  • Gravity is disabled when the imbue is Activated - This of course has many uses but is mainly useful for the Recall Telekinesis ability found below as without this it wont fly properly.

Slam Explosion- Create an Explosion at the point of impact when anything is hit hard enough and the (Trigger/Spell-cast button) is pressed.
Information :
  • A small Explosion radius to match the size of the effect - if you think this should be made larger please tell me.
  • Electrocutes creatures - If you want you can change the effect for information on how look below.
  • The Explosion cannot affect the player or the item!
       
         

Abilities While Thrown:


  • Recall - it can be Recalled/Returned to your hand - just press the (Grab button) .
Information:
  • Can be used for more than recalling the blade just get inventive with it!!
  • The force is quite low as I didn't want it to instantly appear if its far away 
  • Also simply just because of how it works the item may not be able to get past certain obstacles 

  • Recall Telekinesis - When the (Trigger/Spell-cast button) is pressed force is added to the item in the forward direction and this can be guided / controlled by using your hand like telekinesis  simply move it about. this ability is in early stages!!! 
Information:
  • Point your hand in any direction and the blade will follow sorry about the wrists I guess
  • Can be Good for attacking enemies again just get inventive with it u can fight with the sword as if you are holding it.
  • I recommend Slow-motion as it will make this ability easier to aim and hit enemy's but of course i can be done without once you get used to it
  • When the ability is stopped midway through flight and gravity is enabled the item will drop down perfectly as if it has been thrown
Also If anyone has a good name for this ability please let me know as I just came up with recall telekinesis while typing this and its not the best


  • Thrown Explosion - The Thrown Explosion ability will Create an Explosion at the point of impact when anything is hit hard enough while the (Trigger and Grab buttons) are pressed and the item is not held. 
Information:
  • This one has a slightly Larger Explosion so it can just be thrown near enemy's and explode so you don't have to be as accurate 
  • Also has a larger effect to match this but is the same effect.
  • Also Electrocutes creatures 
  • The Explosion cannot affect the player or the item.
  • Decimation- This is The main difference between this explosion and the other one. decimation will cut the creatures in the explosion radius into pieces!!

  • Added Mod options (They Are Found under the tab named (The Forgotten Blade) Currently The Effect options are missing as its complete yet.)
  • Changed the handle as suggested!
  • Made it so The Explosion Features Require the item to be imbued to work as it just made more sense
  • Reworked the imbue feature to fully use code instead of unity event linkers to fix major issues but there will most likely be some minor ones there as i had to make a system for it From scratch and its not perfect yet but it will allow me to add a lot more abilities to the sword in the future !
  • Also Added a basic (Flight mode) - in the Mod Options this should be / Is disabled by default. When enabled to use it just hold the trigger. It is Found in the Misc Category at the bottom of the page. Please Note this of course will make you fly and explosions happen if the item hits something so if you don't want that just disable the explosion feature in the mod options (Eventually I will make more Secondary features like this for example I'm going to add one for strength , speed and more!!)

The Effects Remain the same as using the default one is very Laggy When scaled up and i have none that are good enough so i need to spend time making some in vfx graph which will take me time .

I'm Currently Working on making it so the item is not Sharp until its imbued/powered up. this should be in the next update!
