About this mod

There was no full combo patch for both JK's Skyrim and Capital Whiterun Expansion so I made one, with a lot of personal tweaks.

If you like my mods and want to support me, feel free to visit my Patreon. Even if you're not donating you can still download my next project beta for free and try it out before it's even released. Supporting existing mods and working on new ones as well is really time consuming so any kind of support is highly appreciated.

Capital JK's Whiterun is my own take on the Capital Whiterun Expansion and JK's Skyrim combo. The already existing patch was just removing the other mod's stuff and since I'm using (and liking a lot) both overhauls I decided to rework the whole thing my own way. It started as a personal project so I didn't make it with compatibility nor customization in mind, it's relying on Lux Orbis for the lighting and both JK's Bannered Mare and Drunken Huntsman cause it was hard to not include them since they're editing a lot Whiterun inner city as well.

I tried to make both mods blend the best way possible, improved existing features such as the CWE wood planks but I also reworked a few areas "my way", especially Whiterun Skyforge and the Temple area.

- Tagged ESL plugin that doesn't count toward the plugin limit.
- Only Whiterun inner city is edited, I'm not editing anything outside of Whiterun so there shouldn't be any direct conflict outside of Whiterun.
- The best of both worls, JK's Skyrim and Capital Whiterun Expansion.
- Compatibility fixes for Lux Orbis, JK's Skyrim, Capital Whiterun Expansion, JK's Bannered Mare and JK's Drunken Huntsman.
- The whole area has been completely reworked and improved, Capital Whiterun ground concept has been also reworked.
- New custom and improved assets to replace the ones used in Capital Whiterun. Wood planks from Capital Whiterun were a big bugged and not much 3D so I cleaned those meshes, made custom various versions so the whole pattern isn't too repetitive and bevelled them so they're a bit less sharp.
- Vegetation has been cleaned a lot and I did my best to place new one in relevant places.
- I'm not uploading any texture, final look may depend only on the textures you're already using. I greatly recommend Winedave's Illustrious Whiterun alt floor for the cobblestone and Pfuscher's alt Dirt textures that really look great there. I'm relying on Dirtpath textures, not Dirt01 nor Dirt02.

The mod is actually a patch so I'm only uploading that and all improved or newly created assets. Nothing else should be needed cause all requirements should handle that already.

I'm not planning to patch it for any other mod (perhaps Mandragora's Statue of Kynerath to replace the current white horse in front of the temple if I can find the time) but I don't mind anyone creating new patches for new mods or to remove dependencies as long as the mod is still a requirement of course.

Download, install. Load that patch after everything else, including both Orbis JK's Skyrim and Capital Whiterun patches.

Not compatible with my other mod, GG's Impoverished Whiterun. All of those changes are already in this mod, and way more.

Not compatible with other Whiterun overhauls for obvious reasons since it's a combo patch. I reworked all navmeshes so anything adding new doors will need a patch, just like with both original mods.

Since JK's Bannered Mare and JK's Drunken Huntsman are editing a lot the inner city, including new doors, I prefered to include them in that combo patch as a requirement. Thus it's not compatible with any other Bannered Mare and Drunken Huntsman overhaul.

Since I also reworked the whole lighting it'll only be compatible with Lux Orbis since I'm relying on my mod ass
ets, including all braziers, hooks, posts and lanterns.

As a side note, I don't mind anyone uploading a patch that removes any dependency (except from JK's Skyrim and Capital Whiterun since it wouldn't make any sense) as long as that mod is still a requirement.

Bethesda, obviously
Ra2phoenix for testing the mod and helping me during the long, very long process of making that mod.
Surjamte's excellent Capital Whiterun Expansion for the original concept
Jkrojmal for the mandatory JK's Skyrim, JK's Bannered Mare and JK's Drunken Huntsman this mod is relying on.
